Washington, DC – Foreign Policy for America is outraged by today’s horrific terrorist attacks on U.S. military service members and Afghans in Kabul. We are deeply saddened by their tragic deaths alongside those who have been wounded. Their sacrifice must strengthen, even further, our resolve to support the courageous U.S. military service members, diplomats, aid workers, and countless others who right now are risking everything to save lives.
Today’s tragic violence underscores the urgency of the current mission in Afghanistan, and FP4A calls for the United States to do everything that can be done to ensure American citizens, allies, and Afghan partners whose lives are at risk are evacuated as quickly and safely as possible.
