Washington, DC – FP4A welcomes the House of Representatives’ passage of President Biden’s Ukraine supplemental request, which includes over $60 billion in desperately needed assistance in support of the Ukrainian people in their fight against Vladimir Putin’s brutal war of aggression.
The last six months of inaction came at significant cost. In prioritizing politics over governing, House Republicans not only harmed American interests but abandoned Ukrainians in their hour of need with little to show in delivering for the American people or security. While House Republicans dithered, Ukraine lost ground, Putin grew emboldened, and our partners and allies around the world increasingly called America’s reliability into question.
