Washington, DC – Foreign Policy for America (FP4A) condemns President Trump’s comments advocating for the expulsion of millions of Palestinians from their homes and an American takeover of Gaza. His plans, which have already faced universal backlash from our allies around the world, would require the deployment of thousands of American troops. It would enflame the region and put a target on Americans’ backs. It would constitute ethnic cleansing, a crime against humanity.
“Taking over Gaza for some kind of redevelopment scheme may be in the personal interests of the Trump family,” said Andrew Albertson, Executive Director of Foreign Policy for America. “It absolutely is not in the interests of the United States or the military service members Trump would use as part of his scheme or their families.”
