Alex Stapleton is the Senior Climate Policy Advisor at Foreign Policy for America, where he leads the organization’s work to advance a more climate-forward foreign policy agenda. Prior to joining FP4A, he worked for the U.K. Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office as a senior climate policy advisor at the British Embassy in Washington. In this capacity, he counseled U.K. Government departments and officials on all aspects of U.S. federal and subnational climate policy and supported the delivery of U.K. Government climate priorities with U.S. partners in the lead-up to COP26. He previously spent eight years in the energy and environment practice of a multi-client public affairs firm.
