Ambassador Brook Anderson chairs Foreign Policy for America’s policy committee and is currently the President of Pivotal Ventures. An accomplished diplomat, negotiator, and strategist, she was a U.S. ambassador at the United Nations and Chief of Staff and Counselor at the White House National Security Council.
Ambassador Anderson has served on President Obama’s Intelligence Advisory Board and on the Department of State’s International Security Advisory Board – the boards charged with advising the President and Secretary of State on intelligence and foreign policy issues.
In 2014, Ambassador Anderson was Senior Advisor to the Secretary of State and the Under Secretary for Political Affairs on the Iran Nuclear Negotiations. Based out of Brussels, Belgium, she was a key member of the U.S. negotiating team. From May-July 2015, she led a U.S. government interagency team charged with developing the implementation plan for the highly technical and complex nuclear agreement.
